THE cutest BFF's ever

i've been sewing!!

okay...so i know i am totally like my mom...she used to Smock linds and my clothes and make dresses and hair bows for us until we were about 7 or 8. I have been totally obsessed with Etsy which is a website where people sell things they make. i constantly look at the children's section to get ideas. I am having fun, but need to go get a new sewing machine...hint hint...Tim (my birthday is coming up) and some other sewing supplies and fabric. I don't use patterns because i am too impatient and lazy to follow directions...except for the little bloomers because the directions are super easy, and NOTHING i make is perfect. Seams are uneven, thread is everywhere on the inside, hems are longer on one side and so on...but i have fun and they look good from a far!!

This one was going to be all one fabric on the front, but i made it too small...so i inserted the fabric i was going to use on the bloomers...it turned out cute.

This is the back. i did the tie in the back so Zoey couldn't untie it!!

Bad picture. Fabric was given to me by Tim's mom...i have about 10-15 yards of it, so let me know if anyone wants anything made from it. The fabric is perfect cause i didn't have to hem it! the flower is made from the same material as the skirt and the white tank was $2.00 from Old Navy!

The first dress i made...a pillow case dress. click on the link for directions. Super Super Easy...but Zoey loves to untie it, and is usually naked when she gets up from nap time.

This one i had the hardest time with...i think i will hem it to a shirt instead of a dress. i copied it from a link that was on my friend Amy's blog. The dress is a Cora dress...which i guess that i shouldn't have copied, because the story behind it is so sad, and the money made from selling the dresses goes to a good cause...but i just thought it was such a cute idea and in reality...her dresses are MUCH MUCH MUCH better

i also made Noah a cool pair of pajama pants with a matching shirt that has monster trucks on it. check back later because i will edit this blog as soon as i get a picture of it...i thought i had one but i dont.

UP!!!!

We took Noah and Zoey to go see Disney's Up 3D last weekend.  It was really good, but maybe a little too mature for them.  It was very sad at the beginning.  Noah asked to leave 2 times, and Zoey wouldn't even wear the 3d glasses.  We should have just watched the regular version.  I thought it was a very good movie and love that it was 3D.  Of course i took pictures....

Huge Life Changes Summer 2009

So all of my friends decided to make all of their major life changes happen this summer.  We are just starting, but here are a few of what has happened so far.  Jamie had Luke on June 2nd and he is absolutely adorable.  He is dark just like Jamie which is a far contrast from Addie who is very blond.  Jamie has told me that Addie is doing fabulously adjusting to being the big sister and really loves her little brother.  We cant wait until he gets bigger so that he can get into trouble with Noah and Zoey and Addie.  Finally...a boy in the group!!!!  Happy Birthday Luke!

On June 6th Amber and Scott got married!!! It was a very pretty wedding and they looked very happy.  I couldn't get a very good picture, but here they are walking down the aisle after the ceremony.
Here is Jodi and Matt at the wedding.  They are expecting Heidi to make her appearance sometime late August.  Jodi told me to crop this picture, but i think it is great the way it is with her cute little belly showing!!!  We cant wait to meet baby Heidi!!!  Heidi will take the "GC" offspring count up to 7!!!

And of course here are some pictures of me and my handsome date from the wedding!  It was so nice to have a night out!

Sleepy Heads

Zoey LOVES anything silky satiny.  Anything with that texture of fabric she will call it her "night night"  which is what she calls her silky blankets and what i call her lovey (a small silky blanket).  Tim's mom got her a new Minnie Mouse (which she loves right now) and her clothes were silky.  She got the most excited look on her face and started saying "Night Night...Night Night."  Well i found a night gown at Carter's the other day and i knew she would just LOVE it because It was silky.  I was right...i will have to get a video of her wearing it...she goes crazy...i mean really crazy.  I might have to go get her another one because she is wearing it at least 2 times a week.  Here are some pictures of her in her new night gown and others of Noah loving on his sis first thing when she wakes up.  They really do love each other and i am really happy about that!  i know it wont last forever, but i will love it while it lasts.

On another note...My friend Jamie will be having her 2nd baby tomorrow.  Little miss Addie will be a big sister to a baby brother...maybe Jamie and Eric will come up with a name for him by the time they come home from the hospital.  We are so excited to have another little friend to play with!  Congrats Jambie and Eric!!!!
