With our super super packed summer we decided to do a joint birthday party for Noah and Zoey. We did a splash party with a blow up pool, slip n slide, music, bubbles and water limbo. The kids had a blast with their friends from school, daycare and some of our neighbors. It turned out great with all the help from my sister Jennifer, my mommy, Tim's mom, Tim's brother Ben and Sister in law Amber! They were so great in helping us...so thank you thank you thank you to all of you!!! These are just a few pictures that i stole from my sister, so when i get more i will post them.
On July 13th 2004 our sweet little Noah was born...
he is now 5!
He started the day with waffles and fruit in bed and then we were off to school. He had a special celebration at school with all his friends and teachers. This is the 3rd birthday he has celebrated since starting at Longwood, and he actually participated in the celebration this year.
After school we went for birthday ice cream which ended up all over his shirt.
We ended the day with his birthday present from me, Tim and Zoey. LEGOS...thanks to his teacher Ms. Sandra for convincing me to get them for him. I was so worried about them getting everywhere. He LOVE LOVE LOVES them and has played with them almost every day. (except while we were on vacation.)
He has changed so much in the past year alone. He has become so much more out going and social. He loves to play with his friends and talks about them all the time. He starts kindergarten in August so he will be making a whole bunch of new friends that live in our neighborhood. He is getting really excited about going to his new school. I am getting excited for him as well. He is really coming along in his reading and his handwriting is getting a little better...i can tell we are going to have a problem with that part. He is really good at simple math addition and subtraction and has started to draw a lot. His imagination amazes me. He has always been very imaginative...(if you haven't heard about Doodie and Goggie...or maybe Toblow just ask and i will tell you about them) but he just creates such crazy stories and ideas and does a lot of pretending.
Now i know some of you will laugh at what i am about to write, but if you know me well then you know that i am really anal about car seats and seat belt safety. Today, after realizing a couple of days ago that he IS FIVE YEARS OLD, I took out the 5-point harness straps on his Car seat/booster. It was really hard for me to do, but Tim and I decided that allowing him to use the cars seat belt will allow him to feel older and mature and like a big kid, because, after all he is a big kid.
In other BIG Noah news, Today Noah was complaining about his tooth hurting so i looked in his mouth and HOLY HELL...there was a permanent tooth growing behind his lower front tooth. Also, the baby tooth was super super loose...the tooth fairy might be visiting this weekend!!!! How much does she pay these days?
Tim and I met almost 13 years ago working at Texas Bagel Co. We have been married for almost 5 years. Noah is going to be 6 soon. (July 13, 2004) and Zoey is about to turn 3. (July 28, 2007). Although the kiddos are a lot of work we have been having a lot of fun with them.
