My Birthday

My Birthday was at the end of August and besides the fact that i had to work it was a lot of fun. My sister Jennifer was in town bringing my moms dog home so My mom her and i went to lunch. When i got home from work Noah had a box of chocolate for me in a spiderman bag (tim ended up eating most to all of it). He and TIm had taken my car to get all new tires, washed, inspected and the oil changed! What a nice surprise. They then brought me inside where they had some kind of triple chocolate cake with strawberries on it. They had candles in it and sang me happy birthday. I did have a picture of it, but Noah managed to erase it from my phone. I also got 2 different huge palm like house plants. They were very nice and i love them. below is a picture of the card that Noah picked out for me. How sweet. It is my favorite card ever. Tim has always called me as a nick name Fatima Dumass (Dooomas---not dumb ass) I love it and he hasnt called me that in a long time...i know it is stupid but it is something he has always done. Later that night we went to Willies for dinner...Noah has a blast playing in the sand. Anyways i had a wonderful birthday...and i think Lindsey did too up in NYC.

Gone Fishin

This Sunday we took Noah (and Zoey) fishing for the first time. We went to Burroughs park which is where Tim took me fishing on one of our first dates. He used to go there a lot when he was younger to fish. Noah had a lot of fun for about 15 minutes and then he got bored. All three of us were able to catch at least 1 fish. They were little bitty ones, but it was still fun to catch them. After we finished fishing we went to the park and played. You will see in the pictures below a huge dinosaur riding thing. We had a lot of fun on that and had the whole park looking at us when Tim and i got on. I think Tim was trying to knock me off.

Noah and Zoey's yearly check up

Last Thursday Tim and I took both kids to the doctor for their annual check up. Between the two of them we had 7 shots and blood work done. It was no fun. Tim is terribly terrified of needles and pain so he was there to take the kiddo after they had their shots and console them. I got the pleasure of holding down Noah and Zoey and staring in to their eyes while the nurse gave them shots...this is the most awful thing ever. All four of us survived. Anyways Noah's check up went really well. He got to draw things and jump on one foot. A 3 year old should be able to draw a circle, a 4 year old should be able to draw an X and a 5 year old should be able to draw a square. My little genius was able to do all three and can write his name. He weighs 35 and a half pounds putting him in the 36th percentile and is 40 1/2 inches putting him in the 56th percentile. Right now he has Strep throat...he has been running high fevers since Saturday. Hopefully his antibiotics will start working soon. Lets all hope that no one else in my family gets sick.

Zoey's check up went really well too. She is healthy and growing strong. She has been off a bottle for about 2-3 months now. I love those take and toss cups that is all she uses now. She still sleeps through the night and is taking 1-2 naps a day. She is also eating nothing but table food and loves everything but grilled cheese sandwiches. She is very even tempered and very happy ALL the time. She weighs 22 pounds putting her in the 65 percentile and is 30 inches tall putting her in the 75th percentile. Can you believe she is so tall for her age with such a shorty as mom? Anyways i guess i have a big girl. She started taking steps the Friday before her birthday and is getting really good at walking. I have finally gotten good video of her walking. i also have video of her trying to talk on the phone. it is really cute. Well i guess that is all i have. Enjoy the video clips.

Sea World

The first week in August we took a trip to San Antonio with Tim's family. We went on a boat ride on the river walk and went to Sea World. The kiddos loved it and had a great time. Tim and i took Noah and Theresa on a rollercoster ride it was fun, but i think Theresa got a little scared. Anyways, here are some pictures from our trip.

Happy Birthday Zoey!!! July 28th

It has been a couple of weeks since i have updated. These are pictures from Zoey's 1st birthday!!! it was really small but it was fun. Lindsey was in town helping my mom after she had back surgery so she was able to be there with us. Noah and Zoey both loved opening her presents and eating cake. Zoey started taking her first steps the friday before her birthday and just this week has really started walking. I will post a video of her walking soon. Also i will have pictures to post of us at Sea World. We are going tomorrow for Noah's 4 year check up and Zoey's 1 year check up. I will post what happens tomorrow. I think Tim is more nervous about going than the kids are. We will see.
