Trampoline time

Anytime we go outside the kids want to jump on the trampoline. They love it. Zoey loves to copy Noah and can almost jump. Noah and Zoey run in circles chasing each other. I remember worrying so much about Noah's 2nd birthday party because we had rented a moonwalk and Noah couldn't jump yet. I think the trampoline has really helped Zoey with this milestone because she can pretty much do it already and she is 4 months shy of her 2nd birthday. I get on some of the time with them, but i cant do flips and stuff like i could do when i was little...so disappointing. It is great exercise, unfortunately i get too tired really fast.

Noah's Second T-ball Game

Noah did great at his second tball game.  I bribed him with chocolate ice cream...haha.  I told him that if he didn't play in the dirt then he would get to get ice cream.  It worked.  Here are two action shots of him.  It was funny because he had his hands in his back pocket a lot and i couldn'tfigure out why.  Finally i asked him why he was doing that and he told me that the hand thatwasn't in the glove was cold.  Duh...i don't know why i didn't realize that...it was probably 50 degrees out, and damn cold.

Zoey's New Tutu

Zoey love love loves the tutu that my friend Rachel gave her for Christmas.  She is always bringing it to me to put it on her.  So, i decided to try and make her another one...a girl cant just have one tutu, right?  It turned out way better than i thought.  It is a little too long though so it would probably be better to use it when she is older.  I am going to try and make another one that is a little shorter so that she doesn't trip over it as she is walking.  I know this picture is awful, but i am sure there will be many more with her wearing it!

So You Think You Can Skate...

Noah is probably too big and Zoey is probably too small for Noah's Diego skates that he got a year or so ago.  They still played with them all afternoon one day last week.  It was really funny watching them try to skate.  Zo had a hard time just getting up and Nosey had a hard time going from carpet to tile.  Thank goodness we had the helmet...and yes that is a tutu on Zoey. (she loves it so i made her another one...post to come!)

Dirt or Oreos?

Zoey isn't really picky about what she will eat.  I caught her 2 times in one day with this dirty face.  One time it was dirt she had been eating and another time it was oreos...i love her!

Trip to L’Auberge du Lac

We went with Tim's parents to Lake Charles mid March to go to the casino.  It was so much fun to just go on a random trip and to be kid less.  We of course weren't able to get many pictures because you cant take any in the casino, but we did take some dorky ones in the hotel!  the last one is my favorite!

Noah's First T-ball Game

Noah and Theresa had their first T-ball game today...it was so cute and so funny.  Noah spent most of the time playing in the dirt and we had to keep reminding him to stand up and pay attention.  The kids did surprisingly well being that they were 4 year olds.  They started the day with a parade through Tomball.  There were fire trucks and heavily decorated floats, music and lots of kids.  After that they had their game which was 2 innings long.  They then played a little at the Carnival and finally had team and individual pictures.  It was a long long day, but so much fun.  I think that they will be going to bed early tonight!  I am sure there will be more pictures to come from other games.  I added a video of Noah hitting the ball off the tee.  He did a really good job.  Theresa did good too. They have so much fun seeing each and playing in the dirt together...or holding hands and not paying attention to the coach...so cute...

Visiting (Aunt) Jen (ny) and Ryan

I hadn't been up to Austin in forever to visit Jen so we decided to take a quick trip up there to visit.  It was so much fun from start to end.  As soon as we got there we went to Hey Cupcake. Noah's favorite thing to do with Aunt Jenny is Eat or Make cupcakes.  Hey cupcake is an airstream trailer that is on a street corner.  Every time we go there is a line.  If you are ever in Austin i highly recommend it...they have the greatest cupcakes.  The Michael Jackson is the best!  After that we walked to an old fashioned candy shop and Noah picked out what ever candy he wanted...he picked a lot.  Then we went to a toy store and just looked around.  When we got home Ryan made the most fabulous spaghetti and meat balls ever.  On Sunday we went to Zilkerpark for the Kite Festival.  There were tons and tons of kites, lots of dogs and Bounce houses.  I think most of my pictures are on my other computer so i don't have any to post of all the kites.  After that we went to my favorite place to eat in Austin, Shady Grove and had Cheese fries with cilantro ranch...yum yum.    Noah and Zoey were so worn out that they slept the entire way back to Houston.

Visiting the Hill Country

I went with Noah and Zoey to Visit my sister in Austin.  On the way up we met up with the Zellers!  Even though Zoey is 19 months and Tatum is 11 we had never met each others little girls.  We met in San Marcos (which has changed so much since i lived there) and had lunch.  Zach was supposed to be on a business trip until Saturday evening, but he was such a sweet husband and surprised Amy and Tatum by coming home one day early.  So, i got to have birthday lunch with him too!  Happy Birthday Zach!!!  Anyways, it was nice to see them and see the girls interact.  Zoey actually didn't interact much with Tatum when we first got there, but Tatum sure wanted Zoey.

Valentines day 2009--better late than never

I know Valentines was 3 weeks ago, but I am always late...
We are going to Florida this summer for a very good friend's wedding and then spending another four or so days there for our first "real family vacation."  So, most of Noah and Zoey's valentines present  had to do with sand castle building.  It was definitely a hit with them.  They also loved the chalk and bubbles.  With the weather so nice lately we have been able to go out and play with that stuff a lot.  Zoey really enjoys the stuffed monkeys and carries them around saying "ooh ooh aah ahh"  It is really cute.  Tim had to work that day, so my present to him was to have the house spotless when he got home...a hard task to accomplish with Noah and Zoey around...but i did it.  My wonderful mom had a Valentines date sleep over with Noah and Zoey!  They had a blast...as usual and Tim and i loved having a kid free night.  We kept it pretty low key having sushi and drinks at Hido and then went and browsed the mall.  It is hard to believe, but i actually slept until 9:30...i normally am awake by 7ish EVERY morning.  It was a very nice valentines day and i love that the kids are actually getting old enough to enjoy the holidays as they come...more Noah, Zoey still is kind of clueless.
